Brief Story of the School

St. Emilie Learning Center is a Non-Stock, Non- Profit Educational Institute, run by the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition. It is named after the Foundress of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition, St. Emilie de Vialar. Sr. Christopher Haung Yan, SJA, former Delegate of Philippines, instituted St. Emilie Learning Center, for the memorial of the 150th Death Anniversary of St. Emilie de Vialar, and to continue the dreams and mission of our Foundress especially to give Value Education and be Academically equipped for the children, our future generation. That is why, we celebrate the Foundation of the School on August 24 yearly. Sr. Ma. Goretti Dau Nyoi, SJA was assigned as an administrator to take charge of all the school matters: legal documents especially Government Permit, to see all the needs of the school improvement and to realize the Vision, Mission and objectives of the school. With the help of the Divine Providence and St. Emilie, after papers processing in the Government Offices, we were able to start the school in SY 2006 – 2007 with 14 pupils. At the same time the school was granted the Government permit No. P – 139, S. 2006 - on August 28, 2006.
We are very thankful to Teacher Greta V. Samonte who helped us a lot in order to start the school properly in the first year of operation.
In the school year 2007-2009, Sr. Beatriz R. Buenavista, SJA helped Sr. Ma. Goretti and ended the school year successfully. With the help of our benefactors especially Australia and Malta Provinces, as well as Hilton Project Fund for the Sisters, and by the grace of the Divine Providence, we are now in the fourth school year, blessed with 61 pupils till grade 4.
St. Emilie, pray for us!
