Yearly School Activities

The school, yearly, begins with Holy Spirit Mass in order to be enlightened by the Spirit in learning process throughout the year. We do celebrates Monthly First Friday Mass in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to instill our young pupils the Value and importance of the Holy Eucharist and to practise how to behave and show respect during the Mass. We teach them to take the first reading, responsorial Psalm and prayer of the faithful. Though they are young they will be uplifted their hearts and mind to have self-confident.
After having experience of one to two weeks in the school we make the Orientation with the parents in order to express their expectations and our expectations from them.
We also follow and do other activities according the rules and regulations of the Department of Education in the Philippines like Nutrition Month and Linggo Ng Wika (Filipino Literature Week) etc. We celebrate Nutrition Month on July. We let the our children bring the different kind of food according to the food group like Go Food, Glow Food and Grow Food. The Science teacher woudl explain about this lesson and CLE teacher will give message how to thank God for all the food that God giving us daily through our parents. Since Linggo Ng Wika (Filipino Literature week) is celebrated in the month of August yearly (Celebrated by the Department of Education) we combine with our School Foundation Day which is August 24 or on the nearest date of the said day. On that day, we require the pupils to wear Filipino Cultural dress. They are so lovely with their dresses and they present the national fruits, vegetables, flowers, animals and uses, as well as traditional dances. We used to invite Sr. Esperanza B. Magsino, SJA, our Delegate and Principal to give some inspirational talk about St. Emilie or others. After the program, we share our lunch together with the parents, the food that they have contributed.
We do celebrate the Birthday of St. Emilie by sharing the birthday cake and distributing the birthday card for the pupils. All the pupils make the birthday cards and we offer to St. Emilie with short prayer.
In the month of October, we celebrate the United Nations Day. The pupils wear the costumes of different country all over the world and present the assigned country’s flag. After the presentation, we go motorcade in side the Amparo Village in order to promote our school. We request and borrow the truck from Barangay Office and some of parents contribute the transportation, so that the parents and pupils who have no car can join with them in going to motorcade. After the procession, the school usually offer light snack to all those who joined in Parade. Then we proceed to one week of semester break.
We go for Educational Fieldtrip yearly to different places where the pupils could gain some knowledge of science, history, social, home economic and for the spiritual enrichment as well. We coordinate with the bus company for our transportation.
We celebrate Christmas Party for the pupils as well as parents. The parents contribute again for our lunch to have after the celebration. We prepare some programs to present to the parents and games for the children as well as parents. They love to see that their children are performing and participating in many other activities. The school distributes small Christmas gift for each pupil. After the party we have two weeks break for them to go to the provinces to see the family members and relatives. The classes resume usually the first week of New Year.
Within the school year, we prepare and arrange for the First Communion for our Grade 3 pupils. Since our pupils are still small in number, we coordinate with the catechist in the parish to join with the other schools.
We also participate in the Parish by sponsoring the Mass in every third Sunday of the Month. Our pupils have liturgical dance during the Mass. The Objectives are:
Ø Have sense of belongingness in the Church
Ø Be aware and understand the importance of the Holy Eucharist
Ø Develop and use their talents that God has given to them
Ø Have awareness of fulfilling Church’s Obligation in corresponding the 3rd
Commandment, “Keep the Lord’s Day holy”.
Ø Develop their willingness to go to Church on Sundays
Ø Have family bonding by going to the Church with parents at least once a month

We do expect that this would be a great help for the school advertisement. That is why, we are very grateful to our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Danilo Z. Abalon, SOLT who accepted us to present our pupils and school in the Parish. May God bless our Parish Priest! I wish to improve more our pupils and in our participation in the Church so that this purpose will help not only the School but also the children would feel the sense of belongingness in the Church.
After the break, we have hectic schedule for our daily lesson till we reach final examination for the pupils and again preparing for the Graduation for the Pre-school Pupils and Recognition of the Elementary Pupils on March. Every parent and teacher is excited for this day because this day is the achievement of their children and our Pupils. We honor them with the medal which is personalized to the Outstanding Pupils, best in the particular subject (best in Math, Best in Computer etc.), and Most in behavior (most helpful, most cheerful etc.).
We thank God always for His Wonderful Mercy and Special Blessings and a big thank to St. Emilie, for all the graces that we have received till the school year is over in spite of many challenges.
After the Graduation, we do have free summer classes, after Easter Sunday, to get ready the enrolment for the next school year.

St. Emilie, Pray for us!
